Performance Comparison

For 2018 the Hyundai Elantra offers an advanced 2.0L Atkinson engine with four cylinder that comes with an available six speed auto transmission. This engine offers drive mode select with three options: normal, eco, sport and creates 147 hp. Fuel economy comes in at 9.3/6.4/8.0L per 100km (city/hwy/combined). Safety Comparison

For 2018, the Elantra offers seven standard airbags and is an IIHS Top Safety Pick+ with it’s innovative SUPERSTRUCTURE frame. Made of high strength steel it makes the car lighter and more fuel efficient and more sturdy and safe. The Autonomous Automatic Emergency Braking system monitors for forward collisions and if one is imminent and no action is taken it will step in to automatically brake. With Sentra you get six airbags and standard automatic emergency braking which scans the front of the car and when a collision is imminent the driver is alerted, and if no action is taken the system will step in and activate the brakes. A rearview camera also comes standard and makes it possible to see the rear of the vehicle at all times while aiding rear parking.
