Drives Like a Conventional SUV

As the first electric sub-compact SUV in Canada, the 2019 Kona Electric is a groundbreaking SUV.  It features a bold design, and has an impressive electric driving range with a segment-leading estimated EPA range of more than 400 km.

 Hyundai Smart Sense

The 2019 Kona Electric is one of Hyundai’s leaders in active safety technology, all designed to give you peace of mind and protection wherever your drive takes you. Available features include Autonomous Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, which will automatically apply brakes if it senses an obstacle such as another car or a pedestrian.  Lane Keep Assist warns you if it detects you drifting from your lane.  Finally, Blind Spot Detection gives you a warning in the corresponding side mirror of any vehicles in your blind spot, and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist warns you of vehicles approaching from either side when you are backing out of your low-visibility driveway or parking spot, and will apply the brakes if necessary.

Easy-To-Use Advanced Technology

In the Kona Electric there is tons of communication technology at your fingertips.  It has an 8-inch touchscreen audio system that includes Android Auto and Apple CarPlay so that you can access all your favourite apps, and it also includes a navigation system for getting to your destination easily.  The driver can access real-time driving information on the Head-Up Display, which is shown on the windshield in their line of sight.  Between the front seats there is a wireless charging pad so that you can charge your compatible smart device without the messiness of charging cords.  Finally, the Kona Electric has rain-sensing windshield wipers, leaving you to concentrate on the road without fiddling with the controls.
